Galloway-Hammond RV Park

(1) Review

The Galloway-Hammond RV Park is located in the beautiful town of Burnet and is a great spot for a fun, relaxing vacation. Campers can look forward to attractions within driving distance of the park, including the Longhorn Caverns State Park, Inks Lake State Park and Canyon of the Eagles Nature Park. Among these locations, there's plenty of space for hiking, biking, picnicking, sunset viewing and stargazing. Lake Buchanan is one of the few lakes that has sandy beaches and a sandy bottom for great swimming, and that's why thousands flock there year after year while vacationing at this campground. Campers can look forward to hours spent lounging on the shores, jet skiing, swimming, and boating, or enjoy a number of great attractions just beyond the campground. Just another short drive away are other natural wonders like the Black Rock Park, Longhorn Caverns State Park, Vanishing Texas River tours and the Inks Lake State Park. Finally, travelers can look forward to a number of urban activities in the area, such as golf courses, art galleries, wineries and interesting sites like the Fort Croghan Grounds and Museum and the Eagle Eye Observatory. Amenities at the park include: pool access, water, sewerage, 30/50 amp sites, big rig access and pull thrus. Hope to see you soon!

CONNIE ALLOWED POTENTIAL PEDOPHILES TO ENTER SHOWERS WITH MY 14 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER INSIDE. Connie, the manager, knowingly allowed potential pedophiles to go into the shower area while my 14 year autistic daughter was in there with nothing but a shower curtain for her safety and privacy. You can't even lock the door. Creepers were allowed to ignore the posted hours and enter the facilities. When my daughter came home crying and upset, luckily she wasn't raped or abducted, I talked to Connie about it. She treated me like we had done something wrong and there was nothing wrong with these perverts going in there and ignoring the posted hours. There is a camera, all Connie had to do was talk to the creepers who were doing this. Their wiring fried my RV and I'm lucky it didn't start a fire with me, my little girl and my fur babies inside. They blamed me and offered to fix my RV, for a price. The rude, condescending and snide park manager claimed I used too many space heaters, but my $29 monthly electric bill proved otherwise. I only own one space heater that I rarely use. The heat in my RV is propane fueled. Not only did the park manager not apologize, but they even threatened to charge me if it happened again. The day after I posted this review Connie kicked me and my autistic 14 year old daughter out of the park during the COVID19 pandemic despite never having been late paying my rent. Keep your children safe by staying away from the perverts in this place.

5000 ft elevation so out of the valley of the city but still beautiful country/ mountains & quiet. Nothing is more than 15 min away. Internet is just OK but free. They have free cable but we used Direct TV. The place is clean. People are friendly. The staff are very nice. They leave your stuff alone & people watch out for you too. I feel this is the best park in Reno. It met our needs. We had a fifth wheel & stayed here 6 months. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
