I should have known by the loose reservation system and lack of website that this place was going to be a dump! I don't mind "bare bones" campsites, especially when we are just needing a place to stop for the night en route home, but this was ridiculous. Even at $20 it was NOT a bargain. The dirt road was so rough we were afraid we were going to tear up our RV, and we aren't fussy brand-new Class A types. The water and electric hookups were more about zip ties and duct tape than proper installation. The bath house was a port-a-john, and the dump station was off the "road" so far that you would have to drive your rig across the grass, maneuver around holes, etc. to use it. (We just skipped it and found one further down the road the next morning.) It is advertised as being right on the water, which we foolishly assumed would be the Mississippi River since that is the town's claim to fame, but it was just a big pond that was home to several billion mosquitoes. Even on a moderate evening it was nearly impossible to sit and enjoy a fire. The real kicker was the extremely busy freight rail line that ran along the end of the CG, with trains rumbling and sounding their horns literally all night. I started counting the minutes between trains while I couldn't sleep, and often it was only 5 minutes. We only shopped for a site here at all because our daughter is named Madison and it was kind of on the way home, but we should have just turned around and gone elsewhere - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
