Cumberland Gap Natl Hist Park/Wilderness Road

We stayed there last weekend in our pop-up. This time of year you pretty much have your pick of spots. 99% back-in. 50 amp service at 40 of the 100+ spots, water fill up and dump available. 3 very nice and clean bath houses with private showers. The main activity is hiking, as the bike paths (including the rail trail) have been destroyed by horses unfortunately. That's what happens when horses are allowed on bike paths. The best part is that the sites are spread out nicely and they have all the firewood you could ever need split all over the place (can't bring outside wood). Fire pits and picnic tables at every site, and plenty of bear proof trash cans all over. If you want to explore the Cumberland Gap on foot or otherwise just want a peaceful place to camp where you have 20-50 ft of wooded area between you and your neighbor, this is great. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
