Covered Bridge Campsite will be alerted immediately and will approve your reservation after checking availability.
Covered Bridge Campsite is located in the Western Catskills of Sullivan County, NY. Our property features nearly a mile of creekfront on the famous Willowemoc! It is a peaceful, wooded, and family-oriented campground offering nearly 26 acres of natural beauty, surrounded by 500 acres of the Catskill Forest Preserve.
Campers have been returning for decades to enjoy our great fishing, hiking and waterfalls steps from the campsites. We offer creekfront campsites for RVs and tents with varying levels of privacy, perfect for those needing to escape for a while.
There are three separate tenting areas, some offering parking and drinking water directly at the site and others are completely primitive walk-in sites with water and dishwashing sinks nearby. RV and camper-trailer sites offer 20 or 30 amp electric and water.
Our campground has clean restrooms with free hot showers.
Covered Bridge Campsite is open May through October for Camping

On March 18, 2009 the NY DEC enacted a regulation to protect our forests from destructive invasive species. This is to stop invasive, exotic tree insects and diseases from further spreading in our state. In short, the regulation... -Prohibits transporting firewood within New York more than 50 miles from its source. -Leave firewood home - unless you live within 50 miles. This is not our rule, it is the DEC's. -State Penalties under the Environmental Conservation law, violations of these regulations are subject to a $200 fine, plus a $100 civil penalty and up to 15 days in jail. -Firewood Bundle are for sale at campground. We sell seasoned hard wood, not pine. -Firewood purchased elsewhere, the DEC requires you to obtain a receipt from the dealer to show it came from within 50 miles of the campground. -Cutting or Burning branches or logs found on our property is prohibited.
At anytime your radio can be heard off your site, it's too loud. (No radios allowed in secluded Island or Pines sites) No generators, chainsaws or bug zappers permitted. No gas powered remote controlled vehicles. No off-road vehicles.
Quiet Time is 10PM to 8AM and is strictly enforced. ALL RADIOS AND ENGINES OFF PLEASE.
Check In is between 2 and 8 pm. Early or late Check In will not be allowed without prior approval. Extra charges may apply. Check Out is by 12 pm. Late Check Out will not be allowed without prior approval. Extra charges may apply.
Please be respectful with any waste. We have wildlife in the area that is attracted to trash containing food scraps. Campers are expected to bring their trash to the dumpster before Check Out. Campers come to our campground for the natural beauty of the area, and littering only ruins this for everyone. Extra charges will apply if we have to clean up trash from your campsite.
One vehicle per campsite, except for our double sites (A/B and EE). Extra vehicles may be approved upon request with an additional fee.
Per New York State Law, all dog owners must provide proof of vaccinations in order to bring their dogs on site. No more than 2 pets allowed per campsite.

WATERFALL TRAIL: Walk over the covered bridge and on the left is the Angler's parking lot. Behind it, cross the little creek (not the Willowemoc) and follow the creek and path up the mountain. The path separates but always comes back together. Path ends at a 20' waterfall. You will see several smaller waterfalls along the path. This a family friendly hike.
RIVERSIDE TRAIL: Cross the Covered Bridge, on the left, follow the dirt path along the river. This is approximately a 1 mile hike following the Willowemoc Creek.
FISHING: Ages 16 & up must have a NY State Fishing License

Campground Response
Hi Michael, thank you for taking the time to post a review. We apologize that your campsite didn’t live up to your expectations. We hope you can understand that the campground was recently put under new management (a few weeks before you arrived) and the new owners will be investing $200,000+ over the next couple of off-seasons to improve the facilities. In fact, we have already completed significant tree work and removal to make the sites more accessible to RVs. We hope you will come back next year to see the renovations and improvements!

Campground Response
We are sorry to hear that the stay didn't live up to your expectations. We recently took over management and are planning significant renovations to the facilities. We are happy that you were able to use our WiFi and consult with our manager on nearby attractions and places to see, though. It seemed like were having a good time when you were here!
