Carlsbad is a city in southeast New Mexico.  It’s known as a gateway to the vast, bat-filled caves of Carlsbad Caverns National Park.  Lake Carlsbad Beach Park has picnic and swimming areas, plus an adjacent water park.  Living Desert Zoo & Gardens has mountain lions, bison and native plants.  Northwest of Carlsbad lies Brantley Lake, which is full of catfish and bass.

This review is more for "roverpass" than Country Park. We made site specific reservations for 2 adjacent sites for two nights, but when we arrived we found one of the sites occupied. We therefore vacated the next day and have tried to get a refund for the 2nd night to no avail. Do not trust "roverpass" with to get your reservation right.

We had looked at HipCamp and Roverpass when making this reservation. Hipcamp had a description for an RV park by the same name in California on the Country RV Park, Carlsbad, NM site info so we were expecting showers, laundry, swimming pool and spa. We made our reservations through ROVERPASS since it was a little cheaper. When we arrived and saw it was just a gravel RV Lot with basic hookups we were disappointed. The Gentleman who checked us in was really nice and understanding and didn't know why the information was incorrect on Hipcamps website. He also did not have my sister-in-laws reservation that she made through roverpass but he was able to move things around and put us in sites that were next to each other. This RV Park is clean, the staff was great, and it felt like it was in a safe place to stay so it all worked out, thanks to the gentleman that checked us in. He said they have had a lot of problems with Roverpass reservations. We won't go through Roverpass again when making reservations.

New small park just outside of town they are starting to add a laundry facility, no other amenities. All back in sites. Some sites are for workers from the oil fields. Good wifi.
