Beautiful park and setting. Some spaces are a little close to one another but nice grounds. The only problem we have with Cool Pines is, they claim to have free WiFi bit the only place we were able to connect is on our phones down by the office. As soon as we got more than 100 feet away and we lost connection. They could do a lot to improve the the WiFi connection throughput the park

This quiet RV Park near Cloudcroft NM is a gem. It's a small place...about 30 spots, a few with just water and electricity, but very quiet and set in the trees along a hillside. The price is reasonable, they have a facility where they have pot lucks and card games (we missed these because we were only there one night). We were pulling a teardrop trailer from Durango to Houston and were looking for a spot for the night online and found Cool Pines. If back in the area, we will definitely stay there again.

Cool Pines RV Park is clean, quiet, and well-maintained. The owners and campground host provide solutions to the many challenges of park ownership. From reservations, to check-in, backing in rvs, and in our case, troubleshooting an electrical problem in a timely manner, they performed well. Thank You, Steve and Donna Rogers

What a beautiful and peaceful place to get away and enjoy the cool mountain air! The RV spots are very spacious! The owners are helpful when settling into your space, even assisting with backing in safely. The park is clean and quiet. We saw deer and hummingbirds! We will definitely visit again!

Very nice and well maintained campground. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Only drawback was lack of sewer at some sites.

Campground Response

Hi Laurence, Thank you for your nice comments. Of course, we advertise that we offer 27 full hookup sites, and 7 water and electric sites only. We would love to make those 7 sites full hookups; however, the New Mexico Dept. of Environmental Quality requires a specific type of septic that costs $20,000 for each 5 sites. Our small park simply cannot afford this capital expense. Hope you understand.

This was a very nice place; friendly owners, lots of open space. Very clean and well/maintained. Loved the sunset & sunrise. Definitely worth staying here if you’re going to be in the area. The hiking trails at Mexican Trestles in Cloudcroft were amazing.

Campground Response

Thank you Mikki. Hope you can visit us again.
