As a park this is a great facility with a nice pool, two fishing piers, golf driving range, boat rentals, boat ramp and multiple pavillions. As a campground it falls flat. The sites are too small for my liking and very close together in my opinion. I wouldn't camp here for free unless they could guarantee no one else would be camping within three sites of me. There are 161 sites available. As you come in to the camp-ground to the right is 20 sites which have water and electricity and are on the perimeter of the golf driving range. Another 29 or so are across the road with full hook-ups and intermixed within those is another 7 sites with W/E. Past these are 22 more sites with no utilities. To the left as you enter the campground are another 63 sites, most of which are overlooking the water. The first 15 of these sites have electric only and the remaining have no utilities. If forced with a gun to my head it is in these sites that I would camp if forced to. This is not a campground I would camp at and if the only option I would stay in a motel. Fortunately it is not the only option as Newport News Park and Chippokes Plantation State Park are much better options for the camper at Colonial Williamsburg. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
