Chaco Culture National Historic Park, Gallo Campground

Overview

Enjoy the culture and history of the Chaco Culture National Historic Park and the excellent camping and site seeing there. With helpful and well-informed rangers to take you on tours, this is a great place to learn about the history of New Mexico and its cultural beginnings. Wake up a little earlier than usual to catch an exquisite New Mexico sunrise and the first rays of sunlight hit the Fajado Butte, see the cliff by the campground turn gold and camp by the ancestral Pueblan ruins and petroglyphs. 

Amenities at the park include: tent camping, big rig access, RV dump station and toilets. This is a great campground for falling in love with the natural terrain of the state.
