The Cash Point RV Park is nestled high on the banks of the Red River minutes from Shreveport/Bossier City, and is a great spot for a fun and relaxing southern camping trip. Campers can look forward to a luxurious natural setting, plenty of quiet and a shady country setting. Travelers can take advantage of the campground's acres of wide open space and there's also opportunities for fishing, picnicking, hiking and nature walking, sunset viewing and stargazing. Amenities onsite include restrooms, 30/50 amp sites, showers and water.

Just beyond the campground are a number of excellent local attractions, including, The Barksdale Global Power Museum, Sam's Town Hotel and Gambling Hall, Red River National Wildlife Refuge, Louisiana Downs, Spring Street Historical Museum, Red River District, Shreveport Water Works Museum and the 8th Air Force Museum. There's also a ton of excellent southern restaurants for sampling local flavors. Could be a gorgeous RV park, but this is more of a place for full time campers. Shreveport/Bossier badly needs a nice short term stay RV park. We miss Diamond Jacks RV park.

I do not recommend staying at this RV park! When we showed up the manager told us the park was full despite having a reservation. We were fortunate in that one person had unexpectantly check out the night before. Water pressure was weak and in fact failed while we were trying to flush on the day of departure. Apparently the water is pumped in and requires power. Of course there was no power at departure time to be able to provide power to the pump. Restroom and shower facilities were nasty and we were unable to access the WiFi while at the park. Park did provide a wooden board to walk thru the mud to hook up power, water, and sewer. Bottom line - we will NEVER use this park again, and probably never use the River Pass system.

We stayed here as a pit stop across country. We pulled in about 11pm and there was a note on the office for which spots we could choose. We were impressed with how quiet it was even outside of quiet hours. Perfect for our use. One thing to note - there are a lot of permanent residents. To the point they have fences for pets and even storage buildings. Doesn’t bother us, the park was great.

Campground Response

Thank you so much for your kind words. We would love for you to visit soon. I am glad you it was a pleasant stay.

Bathroom was clean. Lots of long term residents. Convenient on our route. Wouldn’t be a destination for me.

Very nice facilities but right next to the road and railroad so noisy at night.

Just okay park. Needs a lot of TLC. Says under new management so he may be trying to improve. A lot of folks live there permanently. We did not use the bath house. The WiFi registers but doesn't connect. Despite sunshine. Very wet and muddy. Lots of pot holes. No picnic table or fire ring. Conveniently near by to Shreveport, recommend Marilyn's Place to eat.

We enjoyed our stay ... we will do it again if we are in the area visiting our kids nice shady quiet place ... the only thing is we would have liked if there was access down to the river ... but it was beautiful to look at

Overall, it was fine for one night. Could really use some improvements. Lots of permanent residents, so you feel a little out of place.

We hoping to get a refund because we were unable to park in a spot due to rain and mud. Wish we were informed prior to arrival. No gravel or concrete pad.We talked to manager and she said she was sorry and they had a lot of rain.

This may have been a very nice place to stay however there had been a lot of rain. We were unable to locate a site that we could access due to the mud and soft ground. There may have been one or two but the current residents were using the pad area for their personal parking place. There was no problem with the 5 mph speed limit. The potholes were very bad. We had to find another campground I wish I could get a refund.

Unfriendly, rude, condescending management.

Campground Response

So sorry to hear you are unhappy. This is the first ever complaint about management, however we are very particular of the conduct of our guests. The posted speed limit is 5 MPH and if you drive fast in the park, they will have a talk with you about it. We also do not allow loud music or parties that linger after 10PM so that our guests can enjoy their evenings in peace. We also don't allow pets to roam loose and if your pet is a nuisance we will ask you to leave. Our rules are common sense rules and apply to everyone---but sometimes common sense is not very common.

Cash Point is managed by the nicest people you're likely to meet, and it's absolutely the most quiet and peaceful RV park in the world. You can hear a pin drop after 9pm. The laundry and showers are kept clean and all the machines all work perfectly. For $450 a month you can choose a spot within 30 yards of the river. If they can ever catch a break with all the rain, this place will be really nice.

A basic property located on the edge of the red river. No Wi-Fi, showers or bathrooms. Several full-time residents. Could use a little spruce up. Would stay again if in the area.

Campground Response

Cash Point does have showers, bathrooms, and a full service laundry mat at the front of the park closest to the river bluff. Codes are required to enter and code must be obtained from on site manager. Next time you stay in the area, just call the office and we will be happy to show you----really don't know how you missed it. We are working on the wi-fi--should be complete by the end of April if not sooner. Sorry it needed sprucing up---we have been experiencing lots and lots of rain.

My siblings and I had a blast last year right by the river! This park is beautiful and super quiet, which is precisely what we were hoping for. We spent a ton of time fishing and hiking, and at night we found a cover-free spot for stargazing which was very relaxing. There's quite a few attractions nearby - we all spent a ton of time in Shreveport a few years ago so we didn't go to the museums and nature preserves, but for other visitors this park is the perfect place for site seeing and eating out. Judy owns the park and is an absolute gem and helped us get settled for our stay. We definitely plan on circling back next year!

Campground Response

We appreciate the feedback, Davina! We hope to see you and your siblings back again soon!
