As pleasant as the owners are, and the area is , the sand spurs and red ants that we encountered for our one night stay there was more than we could actually believe . You could not walk outside without getting attacked by red ants and having your shoes full of sand spurs that you tracked into your camper . Once you were in the camper there were so many sand spurs in your shoes that you couldn’t even stand up on your own floor. We had sand spurs every where! and had to clean our shoes every time we walked outside. Very disappointing knowing that an easy fix for this would’ve probably been the owners treating the area with a chemical to get rid of the sand spurs and fire ants. I would like to reiterate the fact that the owners were very nice accommodating to us! My tires on the tow vehicle and camper were so full of sand spurs that I had to stop down the road after I left the property to brush them off, and take all of the floor mats out of the vehicle and remove the unbelievable amount of spurs, Not to mention all of the spurs that was stuck to my shoe laces and shoes and pant legs! After arriving home I was still digging the sand spurs out of my socks! Oh and I still have sand spurs stuck in the treads of all of my tires. Lovely place concerning.
