We are a big rig friendly RV park located on 19421 Santa Elena Drive in Fort Myers, FL. The site includes water, sewer, electricity, laundry facilities.

Our RV sites features large lots among Florida cypress and live oak trees, tranquil lakes and palmetto trees. Enjoy the view from your RV or travel trailer and see the native birds and small wild life frolic around the twenty acres of Calusa Cove and the many outdoor activities the area has to offer.

So peaceful, yet close to everything you need to shop, laundry, restaurants. We have full hookups. Just zero amenities like a pool or tennis courts, which I am content without. Best prices in the area.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I wish I could get my money back. We did not stay at Calusa Cove. It looked run down and unsafe. We had an issue with the site when we pulled in and I could not contact anybody. Phone is shut off. Address is to a private residence. One of the people that LIVED there, tried to contact the owners for us as well. Nothing. I would give NO stars if I could.

Great location, quiet with power and sewer hookups. Note: If you are experienced and are not into amenities, checking in hassle, and do not help this is the perfect place.

They have had plenty of time To get the amenities reopen. They are not. If you just need a place to stop overnight it’s ok. If you want to stay longer, I wouldn’t. Other parks available. I’ve asked for a refund!

Absolutely nothing there. Like boondocking in a ghost town. No office, no tables, no contact. Lots of strangers just walking around that shouldn't be there. Kids running through at all hours of the night. Construction in the next lots cutting down all the trees. Have to drive through a Construction site to get there. Otherwise, the site was relatively clear of debris and the utilities worked. Didn't get much for the money except for a place to park and hook ups.

We stayed at Calusa Cove for about 2 weeks. thank goodness they had an opening, as it is high season and we are remodeling our house, so we needed to move out for a bit. To call it a Resort is way far away from what it is. We did have a full hookup which is great. They do advertise that it is a 'no frills' park and that is the truth. There is no wifi or internet and for some carriers it is in a 'dead zone'. It is a gravel parking lot and lots of trees. Good for shade, but bad to try to get big rigs in and out. The price is extremely high for what you get. I have stayed at the luxurious Gulf Waters RV Resort....and Resort is what it is....for the same price per night. The RV Village just behind Calusa has so many amenities, same price per night as Calusa that has 0 amenities. But....like I said, they were there when we needed it and I am thankful for that.

A very quiet and heavenly adventure nestled in groves of palms, mangroves and cypress oak trees. Very quiet and very dark, great for watching the starts and the ISS pass overhead. I saw the ISS 4 times while camping in this remote piece of heaven.

Very difficult to review properly, as it depends on what you are looking for. We just needed an inexpensive FHU campground near my mom in Ft Myers. We needed nothing else, so Calusa Cove was perfect. No frills, no amenities, but full hookups for a fair price. Probably a 5 star stay for us, but could be a 3 star stay for someone who wants a bathhouse, or laundry, etc. Just know what you are booking, and you could love it like we did!

Very small. Space 60B was difficult to maneuver into as there is a tree in the way. I have a 27 ft Class C with one large slide. I had to encroach on the neighbors a bit but they were gracious! Laundry is closed. No personal checkin. I'm sure there must be garbage somewhere? It was quiet and off the highway. Fairly close to beaches... about 20+ mins. No table. Felt the cost was too high for what you get.

I booked three nights. On the second day I received a notice to check out by 11 am. I immediately emailed them a response and sent a copy of my paid invoice for three nights. No response from them at all so I left early to avoid the stress. Zero communication until I reached out the following day to let them know I would be leaving a review. All they could do was say sorry. Horrible customer service.

True to the advertising, there are no amenities. However, the campground is quiet and the sites are spacious. It is set back in a beautiful area that we enjoyed walking in.

I have enjoyed staying here at Calusa Cove. There aren't any amenities, but that is fine with me. I enjoy the quiet, and simplicity of the campground. Was only supposed to stay three months, but booked another three months to run consecutively because I have enjoyed staying here and it's a fair price for full hook-ups, and cheaper than renting a place. Company has always been responsive to my emails, in a timely fashion, and the campground is clean.

Six or seven sites with gravel and full hookups. No amenities at all. Not being maintained accept garbage service. Would not recommend unless you’re in a jam or plan to no spent time in park. No views besides storm damaged trees and brush

This ended up being perfect for us as we needed no amenities. Site was FHU required a little maneuvering but was level and good size. They are still recovering from Hurricane Ian. We never saw any staff. However, if we had a question, we texted, and got an immediate response.

There wasn't any one to check in with or ask information to. Phone number on website doesn't work. Over priced for not getting anything but a spot to park, water, electric and sewer.

I feel they've done a nice job cleaning up after the hurricane. Our lot was clearly marked with its lot number and nicely graveled and easy for us to access and park. I was glad for the instructions ahead of time of where our lot was located. I would like to see picnic tables and campfire rings added to the spots if possible as soon they can do that. That would be a nice touch. We will stay again in the future.

After the park suffered devastating damage from Ian, hats off to the owners for having our site ready working and clean.

Campground Response

I am so happy that you enjoyed your stay and thank you so much for your kind review. We are a small family owned business with my two brothers and myself all chipping in to help my elderly folks run and manage this park that they have had for 38 years. It has been a tough couple of years first with Covid regulations that shut down our bath house then with Hurricane Ian flooding our property with 6-8 feet of water destroying our parents house aka the park office. My brothers have done a fantastic job with the clean up efforts with the 10 mobile homes that were destroyed that needed to be hauled away and all the floating debris from the surrounding area.

Seriously do not recommend. We gave them ample notice we were arriving late. We arrived around 7:30-ish, found our site, our electricity was not working(meter was not on), we attempted to call the number given and no answer, texted and explained issue and was made to think WE were doing something wrong. We checked empty site next to us and the meter was on, we asked if we could just move to that site and were told they could shuffle people around. The next day our electricity was shut off without any notice and when we approached workers they said there was a problem with the main panel board and our power would be off for a “little bit” so they could repair problem. So the original problem with our original site was not our fault. We wondered why sites are not checked before people check in. There is absolutely zero customer service here. I worked in customer service myself, to treat people with no regard after they have paid is just wrong. Do yourself a favor and if planning a trip to Florida, begin shopping for rv parks early so you do not end up as we did, staying at Calusa Cove.

I was prepared for the worst!!! It was better than many of the reviews AND the only ft myers rv park available about 9 months in advance. No wi fi, cable, bath house, toilets. Great local tv. There is some understandable trash from Ian. Good location. As they clearly state…no amenities!!! Being aware helped.

No on-site management - arriving guests are left to find their poorly marked site. No office or phone to call for assistance - only email with 24 hour response time. Site electrical service not up to code - our site circuit breaker kept arcing and only delivered low amperage without popping. Significant hurricane damage with minimal repairs in place, and no ongoing visible attempts at repair. Avoid this park.

Campground Response

This is what happens when you have someone upset that they couldn't extend there stay because we are full. But to respond to his review, Two family members live on-site and the site manager who is also a family member lives in our other RV Park. Yes, the voice component of our phone system has been down since the hurricane but we have been responding quickly to text messages and email in hours not days. Also we have been working on-site and could be easily approached. All electrical services have been cleared by a licensed electrician prior to reopening in January 2023. If there were issues, it wasn't on our end. Yes we were hit hard by the hurricane but our family pulled together and the park looks fantastic. There are drone photos posted on our website to show how great it looks. Plus we added several dump truck loads of stone to better level and drain the sites.

absolutely horrible. photos show a primative camp ground is an understartement. the park still has hurricane debris throughout it. there are a handful of spots redone. however the majority is littered with clothes furniture destroyed pieces of mobile homes and campers. the owner is obviously just gouging workers that are here for clean up and repair for high daily rates. AVOID THIS PLACE IF HAVE ANY OTHER POSSIBLE OPTIONS!!!

Campground Response

Thank you for your review. Yes the cleanup efforts from the hurricane did take longer for the county and FEMA to remove the debris from our park nd the surrounding area. The county landfills were full and the debris had to be trucked to other counties. We are a small family business but we pulled together and have done a great job with the recovery efforts. Drone photos of the post hurricane cleanup efforts are located on our website.

What a mess! Over 2 months since hurricane. Dumped some new gravel it appears. We pulled in and parked. Our hook ups where fine. Then the next day another motorhome pulls in next to us. Electric not working so he ran his generator all night every night we were there. No amenities whatsoever. I called when we got there. No one answered and I never received a return call. Nothing there marked as office. A total mess and seems they do not care to even respond to their customers. I will not ever stay at Calusa Cove again. KC

Campground Response

Thank you for your review. Yes the sites have fresh gravel as part of the post hurricane cleanup efforts. All electrical services were cleared by a licensed electrician before we reopened in January 2023. We are unware of generator running all night. We would have said something to that guest. Yes we are a "Zero Amenity" RV Park. We have that posted on our website in several locations. Our office was actually completely destroyed by the hurricane. Our phone system was damaged by the flooding waters but we have been on top of any emails that were sent by our guest. We are a small family business but we pulled together and have done a great job with the recovery efforts. Drone photos of the post hurricane cleanup efforts are located on our website.
