Butte County Fairgrounds

The RV park is closed during the fair, but it's not super difficult to find hotels nearby. If you don't live near the fairgrounds, investing in a place to stay is definitely worth it. I go with my friends every year, and it's a blast each time! The carnival is so fun, there are a lot of traditional games and some of them are so easy, walking away with a bunch of cool prizes is always a given. The bands are another big draw from me and my friends; the music is normally county/folksy, but sometimes they bring in some great rock performers - we got to see Riff/Raff a few years ago and it was insane! Even if you're usually super healthy, I'd definitely take the opportunity to try all the amazing fair food; as you'd expect, almost everything is fried, and if you haven't had a fried dessert before, then you're not living! The fair is for sure a treat for everyone in Butte County, and when it's gone, a lot of folks pass through the RV park at some point during the year for a few days of camping.
