This place uses a "Bait and Switch" technique to entice travelers. I made reservations for two sites on both the outbound trip and homeward trip. (We were two RV's convoying) I specifically made those reservations for "Lakeside Back In" because we all like to fish and were looking forward to a relaxing evening sitting by the lake fishing. I even called them two weeks after making the reservations to confirm. I was told "Yup! Two lakeside back in spots reserved". Instead when we arrived, we were directed to two sites at "Poolside". Instead of a quiet evening fishing, we had to listen to screaming kids and drunken adults in the pool. We had the pool on one side and a mosquito infested weed clogged drainage ditch on the other side. We would have had to walk a half mile to go fishing. When I asked them about it upon our arrival, I was told "Oh, that's just how the web site is". When I wrote them an email complaining about it, they never even responded. Not good! I have filed complaints with both the Texas Attorney General's Office and the Better Business Bureau. I wish I could give them a negative rating instead on one star.

First of all, they are not completely "recovered" from Hurricane Harvey as their clientele they allowed in were questionable in order to make revenue. When they finally "do" make changes, it is during a pandemic where it leaves pretty much everybody in a mess. I lived there a year and the same people were there the entire year. People with deplorable broken down trailers with vans parked in the middle of two lots with who only knows what was going on. We had a 42 ft trailer which was placed into too small of a socalled cement slab. We placed our own rock sideway and were told we could place our direct cable satellite there with no problem. It was there for almost a year and then because I got sick and tired of their nasty emails, text messages and ridiculous rules during a crisis, and after having my rv slammed into by whoever was mowing, well, it didnt turn out pleasant. The laundromat is always filthy and they can send out all the little nasty messages they want but the clientele THEY ALLOWED IN AFTER HIRRICANE HARVEY ARE THE ONES THEY ARE STUCK WITH NOW. best of luck to BOOMTOWN.
