Easy online booking. Online communication with self check in information and internet information. Needed for a night passing through. Water and Electric. Small park. Felt safe for a good night sleep. No trees or picnic table.

Gravel pads. Asphalt road to approach. No grass. Nowhere for pup to pee. The email communication was good. Didn’t see bathhouse.

After traveling from Colorado to Canada, Idaho, Main, North Carolina, back to Colorado, back to North Carolina and now heading back to Colorado, the Blue Dog RV Park was the poorer of all the parks we stayed in. IDK, maybe its the dusty Amarillo environment, the struggling plants, barely clinging to life, the abundance of abandoned property, or maybe its the relentless wind. We came in on I 40 and drove the additional 13.5 miles to the park, then the 8 or so miles out to get back on the 40 going north. For a quick overnight, this stop was too out of the way. Maybe if it was more than a parking lot. But hey, lets look at the bright side. We had a safe spot to overnight, replete with full hookups at an affordable price. Kudos to the owners, whomever they are, for having a plan and following through with it. Keep up the good work, and water the plants once in a while, before they're all gone!

My favorite place to stay. I’ve stayed there for 9 months and no problems. If you need anything they take care of it!

I made a mistake on my earlier review, it should have read: I have NO qualms about recommending it.

Very basic park, and very affordable. Easy to get in to the sites with full utilities. The staff is very accommodating and easy to deal with. The park is quiet and no traffic noise. There are a number of permanent guests and young families who are approachable open and friendly. If you have a well trained dog, as we do (a 5 yr old Brittany Spaniel), they have a great exercise area in which they may allow you to work dogs off leash. I have qualms about recommending it.

The price is right. It is a small safe and quiet park. The owners are very nice. Most of the spots are full time folks all of whom were very friendly and welcoming. If you want a no nonsense place to stay with good WiFi Blue Dog RV Park is right for you.

I was disappointed in the condition of the site and we left early. Arrived to find the sewer pipe was too high and too far away to attach our hose. We tried to rig up something to elevate the hose more than the usual amount but the wind was so hard it kept interfering with it. There were no picnic tables or bathroom which is usually minimum for an RV park. They cater to the people who live there and shouldn’t advertise otherwise.

Campground Response

Linda, we are sorry that you were not satisfied with your stay. You are correct we do not have bathrooms or picnic tables on site nor do we advertise that. This is the first we are hearing about pipe hight issues, we will look at it. We have an equal amount of monthly renters as nightly/weekly and appreciate each of them. Good luck with your travels.

This is a relatively new RV Park. It holds a lot of promise. It rained monumental amounts prior to us coming. The grounds were a bit sloppy. The owner greeted us as we came in. He took us to our site and did our hook-ups for us. They took care of an issue as soon as it occurred. They continually smoothed out the gravel after each rain. The owners were there when we left and thanked us for coming. I think this is going to be an awesome RV park when they have it finished. I think they are working on a laundry room which will be a plus.

This is a very new park and that means good and bad. The sites are easy to get into and there are full hookups and since it’s in the country it’s quiet…when the train whistles aren’t blowing which is about every four hours day and night. Also the utilities are poorly placed so bring at least 30’ of sewer hose and a hose support. We were there for two nights and didn’t see another soul, not another camper nor anyone associated with the park.
