The Black Butte Cabin is located in the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest, right at the edge of a grassy meadow. At an elevation of over 8,900 feet, campers can enjoy plenty of fresh air and clear, expansive skies for stargazing at night. Get ready for some truly breath taking views of the volcanic cone and distance mountain ranges, but don't just enjoy it from a distance. Go out there and hike or bike the challenging trails to truly immerse yourself in the wilderness terrain. There's also plenty of wildlife, so keep your eyes peeled for deer, elk and antelope while you're out exploring. Hunting is also common here, so if that's your sport of choice, you'll love this spot.
Amenities at the campground include: wood stove, tables and chairs, toilets, propane lights, firewood, cooking utensils and cleaning equipment. The cabin can accommodate up to 4 people so be sure to bring your friends for your next outdoor adventure!
