Campground is on the north end of New River Gorge and the National Park. The park is on the small side but it is a lovely campground surrounded by trees. We were in RV19, fairly level, with FHU 50/30 amp. They have bathrooms but did not use. We were there in November with a couple of other campers. It does not have laundry facilities. The tay was $58/night which includes taxes & fees.

It was truly a blessing that we were able to change our location and get a reservation here! The staff are some of the kindest people we’ve met and so helpful! The campground is peaceful, beautiful and they have spent countless hours working it. We had everything we needed for our site. The camp store is perfect and the bath house is really nice, too. If we are ever back in WV this is where we want to be…. We can’t say enough about how much we appreciate the owners and how they cared for us during our stay. Thank you for all you do to making camping wonderful!

We enjoyed our stay on Oct 23-25, 2024, site 24. The trees were in peak fall colors which set a beautiful canopy of color. Check-in went smoothly and we give the place a 👍. Plenty to see and do in the area. Definitely recommend going!

Good base camp for New River Gorge National Park. Do not choose space 8 or the three spots west if you have a trailer. No turn around and you have to back in a ways through trees. A camper van or small motor home might work for you. As a retired truck driver I was able to back my small trailer in but it was a difficult task. Otherwise a nice place.

Very nice campground and close to all the parks in the area. Nice camp store with all the basic essentials. Bath house was clean and bright. We had a nice night enjoying the fire pit. First dump station I have seen where they have accessories you can use if needed like a hose and adapter! We will be back to explore more.

We enjoyed our stay at Bear Mountain Campground. It is very close to the National Park and hiking trails, etc. The person who checked us in was friendly and helpful. The campsite was fine with the exception of needing a little more gravel in the front. It had been raining and there was a mud hole. But nothing a little gravel wouldn't fix. We would recommend this campground and would stay again.

We loved every minute of our time at Black Bear Mountain Campground. It was roomy and quiet. In most spots you are under trees. It truly is beautiful and cozy. We will definitely be going back there when we visit New River Gorge.
