We are located very close to Kemah, Texas City, and Dickinson in San Leon, Texas, which is between Galveston and Houston.  We are family owned and we pride ourselves in taking care of our customers' needs.  Bay RV Park is just two blocks from Galveston Bay and several great restaurants.  All of our Texas-size sites have full hookups (20, 30 and 50 amp), are level and concrete, and we offer easy park pull-through sites.  We are big rig friendly.

People love our park because of our many amenities, such as bathroom / shower facility, laundry facility, community room, free wifi, free cable on premium sites, fenced community, concrete sites and streets, and picnic area with fire pit.  Our guests also love the quiet, country-like atmosphere.

Whether you are visiting the area for work or vacation, you will love Bay RV Park!  Our friendly staff is ready to make you feel at home!

The site is very clean. The staff is fantastic. The concrete pad is almost level. My site have a lot ant nest around the concrete pad. The sewer connection is to high and is very difficult to the drain the tanks, it should be level ground. Also there is a lot of bad shape RVs with a lot of junk at front.

We prepaid for the month of November while travelling from Canada. While the property manager has only been there a few months, she has her work cut out for her. She did a fantastic job putting on a Thanksgiving supper for the park amidst her husband having surgery. The park is in great need of repairs and maintenance. Multiple sewer caps are missing, allowing the odor of sewage to be noticed on walks in the park with our dog. Rules on garbage are not followed by long term tenants. Resulting in debris blown around, cockroaches and rats. A cat killed a rat and dragged it into the ladies shower stall. Only 1 ladies shower stall closes. Only 3 washers for the entire park. Yet a second building in the park that is locked contains multiple washers and dryers. We used a laundromat. Emails are never answered or responded to. There is no answering machine on the phone line. The door code to the park building that has the toilets in it is not provided thru Roverpass. The park manager was kind enough to allow us to change sites when traffic noise was an issue. The neighboring gas station acts as a launch site for traffic late at night and early in the morning. A park tenant who lives at the far back of the park leaves for work at 5:30 am on his Harley. So much for quiet time. The gates only get closed on one side of the park at night. Allowing local traffic access for drive thru entertainment. There is better value for your money elsewhere. We were at the park 4 days when we started our in person search for another location.

Campground Response

Hello Diana and thank you for your feedback. Our manager was happy to prepare the Thanksgiving meal for everyone at no charge, and most people were appreciative and gracious. To touch on just a few specifics you mentioned, the ladies' shower stall door had already been repaired prior to your post. As you may not own an rv park yourself, I can see how you may not be familiar with the amount of constant maintenance that is required when there are this many people living in one park. The sewer caps is a perfect example. We have no idea why, but numerous customers take them and we are constantly having to replace them. Because our park is currently not at full capacity, there is has been no need or demand to open the other laundry facility, and we have had no other complaints about it. I do apologize for your emails not being answered and for the community room code not being provided to you through Roverpass, which has been added now. Traditionally, our customers just walk to the office or pick up the phone and call us, so in the past we have not needed to check emails from our current customers. Having said that, we will keep a closer eye moving forward. Regarding a mouse, we are located in a rural area away from the hustle bustle & noise, which is what many of our customers like about Bay RV Park. So from time to time, it may be possible to see a possum, racoon, or even a mouse somewhere outside. I will definitely have a talk with them and ask them to stay away. My office manager did inform me that at one point she moved you into one of our more expensive premium sites on the other side of the park at no charge to you. We thank you for your business and enjoy your travels.

Campsite is maintained and has clean facilities. Very open to non residents with no attempt at security. Bike stolen during the night.

Couldn’t talk to someone for reservations. Park entrance needs sign. Backends are hard to get into. Lots of permanent old trailers in backends. Lots of dogs on and off leashes. No amenities. Couldn’t get any discounts. SKPs, Passport America, etc. WILL NOT BE BACK!

Campground Response

I am sorry you had a bad experience Fred and I wish I could have had the opportunity to talk to you while you were still at our rv park. You certainly could have come to the office any day of the week to discuss your reservation, we are there every day. In fact, the building next to the office is where the community room, laundry facility, showers, and restrooms are located. Perhaps you didn't make it back there to that part of the rv park. Also, we not only offer back-in sites, we also offer pull-through sites which are available on our reservation system and, of course, make parking your rv very easy. One of our park rules is for dog owners to keep their dogs on a leash and to not let dogs run loose. Unfortunately, from time to time, stray dogs do come onto our property and we do our best to manage that. Thank you for your feedback and thank you for your business, and you are welcome back any time.

Very friendly and helpful folks. Park is clean and well maintained. Spaces are good size to accommodate all size RV’s. The only problem was the black water connection was too high to accommodate good drainage.

I don't normally write a review, but my boss told me I needed to so they would know why we left. I stayed there in a trailer with my coworkers. I work in the oil field. There was supposed to be like 30 of us moving in, but after 2 months my boss pulled us to another park because of Sherry. I told my boss that Sherry seems to let anyone in and doesn't care about their drug use. Drug deals everywhere in there. Cops going in and out all the time. I even saw Sherry several times, wandering around the park drunk late at night. The worst part, for business is the very horrible internet. There is free half wifi and it never works. Sherry told us to use our own hotspot. For those of us that don't have unlimited data.... screw that! I couldn't zoom call my boss. So between Sherry and the internet, my boss had us move to another site with the 20+ guys in our crew.

Campground Response

Hello Chris and thank you for expressing your concerns. As of Wednesday, 6/28/23, Sheri no longer works for us. Our long-time office manager Leda is still there after more than 20 years with us and we have never had any of these types of problems with her. We are actually the ones who have asked the police to make our rv park part of their route to keep Bay RV Park a safe place, which they have kindly done for us. As for the wifi, I appreciate you letting us know you had problems with it and we have scheduled repairs for tomorrow morning. Additionally Chris, we would like to offer you and any of your co-workers $200 off your first month's rent and we would love to have you back. We hope to see you soon. Kind regards, Christian

Our Favorite RV park in Texas! We headed out to Texas from the northeast in April of 2022 on vacation in our family RV. Bay RV park fit the bill just perfectly, for us! It’s centrally located and we were able to base ourselves there while visiting local sites- my favorite was the Bush Presidential Library and my husband couldn’t stop talking about our visit to NASA and his childhood dreams of becoming an Astronaut! The management of the RV park helped us plan our time and made recommendations about what to see and do. We had an absolute blast (off). Thanks again for the great visit!

We’ll be back! Surrounded by tourist attractions like NASA, Kemah & Galveston Island, we were really sorry we ran out of time and only had one night's stay at this RV park. We should have budgeted more time - we’ll be back -thanks for a great stay!

My Home Away From San Antonio… An outstanding RV campground! We have a Class C and tow a Mini for our around town car. This campground has lots of space, full hookups and nice, friendly & helpful employees. I usually come for a full week to enjoy the weekly rate and get away from it all.

Practically Perfect (in every way!) We stayed here on a family road trip with my husband, 2 kids and pup and it stood out as a favorite! Lots of family activities to do nearby - NASA was a highlight for my kids, the fishing for my husband and the historical home visits on Galveston Island for me. Nice park and nice people

I stayed at Bay RV in my camper this past week and had a great visit with a tidy cement pad, water/sewage hookups and clean facilities. I don’t normally write reviews, but after a really nice stay, I wanted to share my experience with the community. I spent a bit of time touring around the area, including a trip to NASA, Galveston Island and a super interesting historic site that I hadn’t previously heard about (San Jacinto Battleground). I wish that I could have stayed longer - 5 stars!

I enjoy getting down to the gulf coast from Fort Worth every chance that I get, and Bay RV is my go-to park to bring my camper on long weekends. They nearly always have a shady spot for me, and I’ve never had an unfriendly neighbor. Recommended!

It really was the best value RV Park in the area…just like their slogan After looking around the area for the nicest and most affordable place, we ended up choosing Bay RV Park near Dickinson. It was a nice place to hang our hats for four days and just relax. Nice people, peaceful and good value!

Bay RV near Galveston Island is the bomb! We had a sweet, shaded spot near the edge of the place with a great cement pad, picnic bench and far enough away from the other campers to have a quiet and relaxing visit. Highly recommended.

We stayed at Bay RV Park in Kemah https://bayrvpark.com/kemah/ in early April and had a blast with our parents and adult children. Each of us has our own RV of sorts and the RV Park was able to group us all together which made the trip for all of us! I took my son fishing with his grandfather and he caught more fish than both of us put together (two red snapper and a king fish!). I couldn’t be prouder. Nice spot for a family getaway.

I stayed for a week and really enjoyed my time here. I’m currently traveling full time around the country for work so finding somewhere that is decent value is really important to me -I am a drone pilot and I make some awesome promo videos for local businesses. Check out my website k2kiddmedia.com Bay Rv Park was significantly cheaper than others in the area, and had some good amenities like laundry and a picnic table at my campsite. It was also spotless! I love to fish and there were some great locations nearby so I could fish nearly every day and actually ended up eating what I caught. The managers were really friendly and there were quite a few other long-term travelers and permanent guests around, so it was nice to have a chat in the community area a few times during my visit. Overall, I had a really good stay here. I’d recommend it to other single travelers as a friendly park to meet other people on the road and help keep your costs down if you’re traveling full time. This was all just a dream this review is to remind me to go here and enjoy the area with my family someday.

After a long year of not seeing my cousins we agreed to catch up and stay a week at this park as it was a good mid-way point for us to meet. Both our families bought our RVs and we got two large pull-thru sites next to each other which gave us lots of space. We spent a lot of time at the park on the outdoor picnic tables, eating and chatting. We also visited lots of the nearby areas and the Kemah boardwalk was definitely a favorite. We spent many nights in different restaurants (Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. was a lot of fun!) and checking out the amusement park! The managers were helpful when we booked the two sites to make sure we were next to each other and the park was really nice and clean. We had everything we needed and it was a lovely, peaceful spot to enjoy some family time together after a hard year apart. Thanks for a great stay.

This park is great! I’d definitely recommend it if you’re in the area. We’ve recently hit the road in our new Airstream Bambi (which we love!) as the kids are grown and we’re lucky enough to be able to telecommute for work. We love exploring different areas around the country and Bay RV Park was great for exploring the local area. It was nice and quiet so we could work when we needed to (free wifi worked well), walk to some nearby convenience stores if we needed anything and then explore nearby Galveston and Kemah, which were really beautiful areas. They had some great shops and wonderful restaurants. We even managed a quick trip to check out NASA, which was only about 20 minutes away. Thanks to the managers for a great stay!

If you’re looking for a place for some peace and quiet, then Bay RV Park is for you! I work from my RV and stayed here for a few months to get some R&R and take a little break from the city. The free wifi worked well and it was nice and quiet during the day, so I could work uninterrupted. There’s also plenty to see and do around the area and some really yummy restaurants close by. There are a few good bars in the area too, including Monkey Bar and Voodoo Hut in Kemah, and 3 Doors Down in Galveston if you’re looking for a night out. Most importantly, the place was really clean. If you’re in the area I’d say this is the best option for short and long-term stays.

This park was one of our recent favorites. It’s in a great location, the staff are really accommodating and it’s super clean. We travel about three months every year in our RV so have seen a lot of parks in our time and were really impressed with the set up. The lot was big and we had plenty of space. There’s lots to do in the area with Galveston just a short drive away, which is great for restaurants, shopping and historic house visits (one of my favorite things to do!). The facilities of the park were perfect for our needs and we would definitely recommend staying here for anyone visiting this area. Thanks for a great stay!

Perfect Location and Family Friendly Bay RV Park was the perfect place for us to hang our hats on our recent RV holiday to Kemah in early January. The parking pads and hookups were great and we really enjoyed the convenient location to the boardwalk which had some really good family friendly restaurants. The kids *LOVED* visiting the amusement park and taking the train along the boardwalk (they are still talking about it 3 weeks later). We stayed for a week, so the laundry on-site was super handy and everything was perfectly clean - and for the cost, you just can’t beat it for the area. We’ll be back!!!
