Rules

General Information

If you intend to arrive before 2 p.m., please notify our office and we will make every effort to have your cabin/site available, however, we cannot guarantee it’s availability until 2 p.m. We ask that you honor our Check-Out time promptly to minimize hardship on our housekeeping staff and the next guests arriving and to avoid a late check-out fee. We make every effort to accommodate specific site requests at the time of booking; however, we reserve the right to change the site assignment based on campground needs or maintenance issues. Store Hours – 7 a.m. – 9 p.m. Laundry Hours – 7 a.m. – 9 p.m. Last load wash/dry completed by 8:45 p.m.

Speed Limit

5 MPH. Please observe our speed limit to insure the safety of our guests. Remember…children are playing!

Responsible Part and Violation Charges

Each site/cabin requires a responsible party to be registered. Credit card information for the responsible party must be given at the time of reservation/registration even if paying by cash. The credit card of the responsible party will be charged the amount stated for violation of any of the rules. You are responsible for damage caused by yourself and/or members of your camping party or your visitors. Parents are expected to act responsibly in the watch and care of their children and pets. Campground staff members are not babysitters or pet sitters, so please kindly attend to your children and pets. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

Your Responsibility

It is your responsibility to review and follow the rules. Your reservation payment constitutes your acceptance of these rules. Management reserves the right to charge the stated violation fees and/or eject any party from the campground without a refund for violation of any of these rules.

Liability

Neither Base Camp at Golden Gate Canyon nor any of its employees are responsible for accidents, injuries or losses from any cause. Management reserves the right to refuse service, limit the length of stay and the number of persons or vehicles per site and/or evict any person or party without refund.

Visitors

Your visitors are welcome at Base Camp. Guests and visitors are expected to read and adhere to all campground rules. A copy of our rules is presented or reviewed at time of Check-In to the responsible party. All visitors must leave the campground by 10 p.m. The Responsible Party is responsible for the conduct of their visitors and will be responsible for violation charges.

Vehicles

ATVs, golf carts, dirt bikes or mini-bikes are not allowed to be driven by guests on park property. For your safety, bicycles should not be used after sunset. The park is very dark at night. Please use a flashlight. We care about your safety. Vehicle Repairs Vehicle repairs including oil changes and washing of vehicles & RV’s are not permitted in the park. You may check with the local listings for businesses that provide these services. Park staff is not allowed to work on guests RV’s.

Firearms and Fireworks

The display or use of fireworks and firearms is prohibited on park property. This includes BB, pellet and airsoft guns.

Cutting Trees

Cutting trees and/or breaking branches are prohibited. We sell wood bundles at the store for your convenience. We appreciate your respect for our property.

Campfires

Campfires are allowed ONLY in the designated, self-contained fire-pits. Glass bottles are not permitted at campsites. Drinks in cans or plastic bottles only please. Broken glass left at the campsite may result in an excessive trash fee charged to the responsible party.

Washing Dishes

Washing dishes outside at site faucets is prohibited. Our laundry room has a sink available for this purpose. (Bring your own soap and sponge.)

Disposal

Ground disposal of gray or black drain water is prohibited by state law. Wastewater must be disposed of into dump station. Water/Dump Station is seasonal. Onsite RV pumping is available by an outside vendor. Ask our staff for contact information.

Smoking

NO SMOKING OF ANY KIND IS ALLOWED IN THE CABINS OR ANY BUILDINGS. Please be courteous when you smoke outside. Dispose of cigarette butts properly and keep your smoke away from other guests. The use of marijuana is prohibited on Base Camp property.

Trash

Your trash must be tied in plastic bags. Dumpsters are located on the Northwest side of the park for your convenience. Do not leave your trash outside. Please keep your site/cabin neat and leave it clean for the next campers. Failure to comply may result in an excessive trash fee charged to the responsible party.

Pets

We love and welcome well-behaved domestic pets. They must be leashed, picked up after and kept quiet and under control at all times. Please do not leave pets unattended or tied up outside. Animal control will be immediately called for unattended pets. Cats are not allowed in cabins. A maximum of three (3) pets per campsite/cabin are allowed. Pets are prohibited from the store, laundry room, restrooms, and playground. Failure to comply with the pet policy may result in you being asked to leave without a refund. Aggressive dogs of any breed are not permitted. Good behavior is required and appreciated by other guests around you.

Deposit and Cancellation Policy

NO REFUNDS FOR EARLY DEPARTURES. Camping is an outdoor experience. We do not give refunds due to the whims of Mother Nature. -If you cancel (7) SEVEN or more days prior to your arrival date, a service charge of $15.00 plus 2.9% state sales tax ($15.45 total) will be charged. The balance of your deposit will be refunded. -If you cancel SIX (6) days or less of your arrival date no refunds will be given. 2 p.m. will be the time used to determine cancellation date.-No refunds for monthly reservations. NO REFUNDS FOR NO SHOWS. Management reserves the right to re-book your site if you fail to call us at 303-582-9979 by 8 p.m. mountain time to let us know you will not be arriving on your scheduled check-in date.

Very laid back with all the amenities you could ask for including a gas station, grocery store, and lots of trees. Only probables was the small size of our site, but otherwise great.
