Surround yourself with the mixed evergreen/aspen forest of the Aspen Group Campground, located in the Lincoln National Forest, New Mexico. The Oliver Lee Memorial State Park, at the foot of the mountains, is worth a visit to see a restored 19th century ranch house and explore the flowering oasis of Dog Canyon.

This park is operated by the county and is next to the fairgrounds in the town of John Day. There are 25 FHU level sites with picnic tables, fire rings and shade trees. The sites are paved and the rest of the area is gravel. The free WiFi worked well. No OTA TV reception – we don’t have a satellite so I cannot comment on that. John Day, OR – Grant County RV park – county administered park - next to the fairgrounds in the town of John Day. There are 25 FHU level sites with picnic tables, fire rings and shade trees.
