close to the great sand dunes. address: 6900 Juniper Lane Alamosa, CO 81101. I chose this park as it advertised that it had a pool and we had been boondocking for several days so we booked a reservation. First they got upset that we pulled to where it said to stop and register instead of going all the way up to the stop sign. The lots are nothing more than gravel but they are an adequate size. They have tons of cottonwood trees and of course they were blowing the cottonwood which then got stuck in our AC unit. We literally went out and bought a portable AC unit because we thought ours was having trouble and breaking, we simply ran some water through it a few days later and it was fine but was scary at the time. We asked upon check in when the pool would close so that we could let our children swim. We were told 8 pm. We got to the pool at 7 thinking they would have an hour to swim. Another family came to close up the pool promptly at 7:30. When I asked why they said, in a very gruff manner, that it was the time the pool closed and it was even posted. I kindly said they needed to make sure that the staff inside knew that because we were told 8. I almost didn't let my kids swim anyway as there was a very nasty 6 inch mark all around the pool of black gunk. The liner of the pool was not in properly either and there was a distinct pucker in many places. As the children and I were going to the pool (I drove as the little ones were hot) a man came out yelling at us that we couldn't use the pool. When I asked why he said I wasn't registered. I assured him I was and he then asked me my site number. All this was done yelling at me from across the parking lot. When we asked for recommendations to a local ice cream shop they told us there were none. There actually were a number of them in town that we found on our own. Truthfully I would not pay this amount for the headache again. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
