Come see our completely redesigned RoverPass reservation checkout experience as the country quickly reopens, our data shows a huge rebound in web traffic and a growth in campground bookings of over 400% since May. These are folks directly searching for accommodations on our directory of over 16,000 campgrounds and RV parks.
What does this mean for you as a campground owner? Well, it means that now more than ever having an intuitive online reservation process is vital for the experience of your campers, and ultimately the success of your business.
At RoverPass, we’ve discovered that the ease of the reservation checkout process is a secret to campground success, and so today, we’re happy to announce that Roverpass Online Reservations will see a complete redesign in 2020 that’s already in beta! In our humble opinion, this new, user-friendly redesign revolutionizes the RMS experience as we know it.
Checkout Redesign Explained
This latest product update is unique in that it’s not only one of our most anticipated to date, but it benefits campground owners and campers equally.
As an owner, you want campers to be able to create and pay for a reservation online so that you can spend less time on answering calls and emails, and more time on things to make your campground better our completely redesigned RoverPass reservation checkout experience makes this possible.
And campers want to be able to create and pay for a reservation online so that they don’t have to spend time trying to reach the campground over the phone or wait for an email response.
It’s a win-win!
With a better understanding of our market and user demographics, we’ve placed a heavy focus on responsiveness across multiple devices and accessibility for all ages, ranging from the young millennial traveler to the more experienced empty nester. We’ll provide ways to enhance each reservation made through Roverpass both by increasing the revenue generated for the campground per reservation with our completely redesigned RoverPass reservation checkout experience. We’ll also provide more product and services campers seek that each campground offers.
We’re working toward a fresh and user-friendly way of making a reservation online, and we want a product that can live and evolve for years to come as we extend the online services Roverpass offers.
We’ve built ways for each campground to brand their online checkout, so that campers have a fluid experience coming directly from a campground’s website, and no two RoverPass online checkouts have to look exactly the same. We’ve placed a heavy emphasis on images and amenities offered so owners can market their campgrounds as best as possible, and campers feel wholly comfortable with what they’re paying for.
The bottom line is that this redesign will help you increase revenue and add a new level of simplicity and user-friendliness to the booking experience for your campers while creating the potential for new revenue streams for you the owner.
RoverPass’s very own Chief Product Officer, Jimmy Pocock, puts it best:
“The checkout redesign represents a deep focus on a fully-featured and intuitive online reservation experience, accessible to any type of camper. We’ve curated a quick and easy process for campers to book their reservations in the fewest amount of clicks possible.”

We’re tremendously excited about this highly-anticipated redesign. As the booking process is usually one of your camper’s first interactions with your park, our hope is that the look and feel of the RoverPass checkout provides them an exceptional experience right at the gate, which in turn will bring you more customers and more revenue.
